What a great place! My two friends and I had only one day in Portland while passing through on a bike tour and these guys really helped us out when we needed a tune up. Friendly people, cool...

Great guys! Stopped in to be part of a bicycle - powered smoothie operation and it's not up and running yet. But...staffer dropped what he was doing to help us find a similar places then recommended other neighborhoods to also visit. Very friendly representation of Portland and the cycling community.

The people at West End Bikes have really gone above and beyond.They have been very helpful and restored my faith in a bike store actually CARING about customer service.They take the time to explain things to me so that I am learning about my bike -- for example, what is inside my new tires besides tubes, i.e., rim strips. They make me feel confident my bike is in the best condition possible.

I stopped here on a self-guided tour of Portland bike shops.They have an impressive array of gear and a friendly staff.One gentleman took the time to show me a line of bike clothing I wasn't aware of and answered all of my questions in a no pressure and unpretentious way.Very nice shop.
