After a lovely drive along the James River we were hungry and came across this gem of a place. Super friendly owners and staff, good prices, and good food. Small place, you feel like family.
After crossing the James River on the Jamestown-Scotland ferry from Williamsburg, we drove for several miles before we found this restaurant.This was the only restaurant in the area that we could find. Its not a big place but the staff was very friendly, the food was tasty and service was good.
Great Meal - Great Prices - Great Food!!! Our waitress couldn't have more accommodating. We'll be back again and again.
A staple since 1954, Surrey House Restaurant & Country Inn is known for down-home-style cooking, and a menu dotted with Virginia specialties. After unexpectedly closing for a brief period, it reopened in 2006 under new management. Thankfully, theyve stuck close to the original fare: family-pleasing sandwiches and surf-to-turf Southern classics.
