Help us make it rightOver the summer, we hit up Yorktown for the day and ventured off to our normal hot spot, The Carrot Tree; however, TCT was closed, so I consulted with my...
Not a bad joint. Local brew "Georgetown" was good, as was bartender Charlotte. The entire place had a sort of "wet cloth" smell to it....
Found on yelp looking for seafood lunch on our way home from NC and glad that we stopped in. Although parking was quite a challenge on our Sunday afternoon...
First of all, the recommendation to come here was to have a beer and enjoy the waterfront. We didn't expect to have such GREAT food. The clam chowder was the best I've tasted since Tony's (award winning, from Cedar Key, FL). I then ordered the Hanover tomato salad. I had heard about these tomatoes from a local, but had not tried them yet. Just like grandpa used to grow. Delicious! The grilled...
CLEAN YOUR OYSTERS. We ate here Saturday afternoon at about 4 pm, 6/14/2014. There were six of us, 4 out-of-towners and 2 Gloucester residents. We were lucky and got a table right in the center as we walked in. The entire time we were there, an unruly, white-bearded drunk sat adjacent to us by himself at a 6 chair table. He ranted, yelled, and bellowed...and loudly. There was NO ATTEMPT made to...
Try it!. Love this place. Food is great. Cool atmosphere. Sit and watch all the motorcycles park out front. Fun. Friendly staff. Great seafood.
Yummy Sandwich. I had three things: turkey sandwich, blackened Mahi Mahi, and gumbo soup. Sandwich is excellent, oozing with savory cheese, Mahi Mahi cooked rare didn't taste ver fresh. Gumbo soup was spicy, but could have been hotter. Good service overall!
Great Little Place. My husband works around the corner from here so it's our go to place when I visit him at the base. I LOVE THEIR CHOWDER!!!! The fried seafood is always good and their portions are large. It's a bar/restaurant so it's not much to look at but you can get a good meal here and the seafood is always good. Oh and FAT oysters!!!!
The place is filthy, they leave the side door wide open into the kitchen, and I got congealed cole slaw in the past. How nasty can you get and still remain open????
Have been here twice. First time we had bad service. Sunday we came in with 11 people. We were putting table together so we could all sit together. When we were basically screamed at from behind the bar. Seems we could put tables together but not the particular one we slid down, which was just down from us. Could have been handled in a more professional manner. Instead acted like she could care...
