This place seemed perfect when I moved in, but the excessive noise and rude neighbors make it unpleasant to live here. It feels like living in a college dorm, but the prices don't match the...

First year in 2014 was great. This propery is rapidly declining. Stay away. Too many newer places to chose and live.

Rapid decline the past year. They have been through about 6 managers. Each new manager promises change but then they are gone. I am not renewing my lease. Sad state of affairs here. My first year was good. Here are just a few of the property issues.

1- Fitness area AC was broke most of the summer
2- Hot Tub (Spa) is down all the time.
3- Had hot water issues several time in the building the...

With a location right between The Guthrie and MacPhail, one block to a run/walk/bike across the Stone Arch Bridge taking you to the NE/St Anthony Main neighborhood, and 10 minute walk to Whole Foods and the start of the North Loop, this building has a 5-star location! Add to that the super friendly and efficient staff and amenities that can't be beat and you have Mill District City Apartments!

MDCA

This building is in a great location. It is officially in Downtown East but feels like a separate neighborhood. The building shares a courtyard with a condo building that keeps the city noises out and gives a sense of serenity. MDCA is about 4 years old with a heated indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, gym and club room. Staff is generally nice, friendly and responsive.
The only negative, I would...

Mill District City Apartments are the hot-spot of downtown living. The Stone Arch Bridge is right outside your back door and you're within walking distance of restaurants, ice cream shops, and parks. The apartments are well kept and the staff is friendly. I love having a pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and an outdoor patio with funky urban decorations. They are also pet friendly which was...

Awesome place to live! Great units with great views. You could throw a tennis ball and hit the Stone Arch Bridge. Super close to the Guthrie and some awesome restaurants. A few feet from the best Farmers Market in the area. Caribou right across the street. What else do you need? Parking is easy as the building is new. Plenty of room to maneuver. Also, great parking across the street in the...

My husband and I moved to Mill District City Apartments in the spring of 2013 after living in the St. Louis Park for a few years. We wanted to be exposed a bit more to city life and the convenience of living downtown. We could not have been happier with our decision to live at MDCA and moved only because we bought a place a few blocks away. The property manager, Steve, is a wonderful asset to...

My name is Jimmy. I am a 50 year old man who has owned 4 homes and has rented in many places. I have lived in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Alaska, Missouri, Minnesota and several cities in Colorado. I was offered a job in Minneapolis and looked online for a place to rent. I was drawn to Mill District City Apartments. After I contacted the property and talked to Steve the manager, I signed a...

This is an upscale apartment with upscale rent. They have had problems with this building and it's management. Amenities are not always usable, and repairs can go quite some time without attention. Cable bill not paid, cold in hallways in the winter hot in the summer. Tenants do not renew and …

Overall, this is "ok" to live. I moved in when it first opened & they were still doing construction in part of my hallway. I moved in because I really liked the location & style of the place. The staff is very nice. I found the maintenance staff prompt in fixing items in my apartment. That said, the place was dirty in public areas. There were spills in the garage that didn't get cleaned for...

MDCA is a great place to live, with access to the Light Rail only three blocks away and the Mississippi river only two blocks away you are only moments from the heart of Minneapolis. The amenities are good and the leasing staff is very kind, I will note that they have two GREAT maintenance persons who do a wonderful job. If you are relocation to the area this is a great place to meet new...

First of all, I think MDCA is a fine apartment building. A little noisy perhaps, but if you want total quiet I suppose a nursing home might be your best option. My first (and hopefully only) gripe is the happy hour. They advertised a happy hour, but I showed up and it was like Deadwood (sans tumbleweed). Come on MDCA!!! I demand satisfaction!!! Anyways, please don't take this review too...

When I first visited this complex, I was quite impressed with the general d cor of the property, amenities, and apartment itself. However, as the months passed, my impression changed. My biggest complaint about this property is the noise. The apartment has minimal sound proofing. When my neighbor turns on his television/sound system, my living room wall vibrates. It is even worse when my...

If you're looking for an overpriced, poorly managed apartment building then this is the place for you! Dog poop in the hallways? Check. Vomit in the elevators? Check. Constantly broken amenities that take months to fix? Double check. If you're looking to have something taken care of or hoping for a quick response to an inquiring, don't even bother with management or the front office. "The...

MDCA is a sweet place to live if you can afford it. Hot tub, sauna, pool, hardwood floors, own washer/dryer, AC, middle of downtown, underground parking... need I say more? It's expensive but worth it for me. My only gripe is that the walls are a little thin to the hallways, but it isn't too bad as to make me not want to live here.

Overall, I have been satisfied with the Mill District City Apartments. The staff is very friendly and willing to stop what they are doing to help out. Common areas are generally clean and organized and any major issues seem to be taken care of in a timely fashion. I will say the in-unit washer/dryer are rather noisy as is the HVAC unit (especially air conditioning). It makes it near impossible...

It is one of the few nice dog friendly buildings in downtown. Do not move here if you don't like dogs! It is a nice community. I actually know, greet and hang out with my neighbors and people show up for the resident happy hour (unlike other places I have lived). The units are beautiful and comfortable to live in! The one complaint I have is that we were promised things before we moved in that...

I love living in the Mill District Building. It's hip, fun, safe, clean and convenient. My room was freshly painted before moving in and the building always looks great. Here are a few suggestions to make it even better: - Consider putting a key fob scanner (like you have out front) in the elevator. It would increase the level of safety to have our residents have to scan their key fob before...

The quality of all public areas (indoor and outdoor) are superior....some of the best I have seen. Marissa and Stephen are tremendously professional and extremely courteous. The garage needs a good scrubbing......not sure why it is so dirty and it has clearly not been cleaned since the building opened. We moved in to Mill District Apartments shortly after it opened in Janurary of 2011. We enjoy that there is a major bus stop right in front of the building, and that it is 1/2 a block away from the Mississippi and West River Parkway! I have been living here for about 8 months and love it. Excellent building. Problems are solved quickly, staff are very pleasant and helpful, wonderful community to be a part of. I love my apartment. I have lived here for 6 months. I love the location it is convenient for me to walk to most anything I would need. The amenities are nice and well kept. I moved into MDC apartments about 10 months ago and would recommend it to anyone considering a rental downtown. The big plus point for the building is the location - Mill District City is one of the nicest parts of downtown and there are only 2-3 rental buildings. All other buildings are condos and are not professionally managed. The management of the building has been really nice and does...

I have lived at MDCA for almost a year now & love it! I believe I have the only toddler in the building but she has plenty of friendly puppies to play with and a wonderful music center (MacPhail)where she plays with children her age. The management are always taking care of us and the happy hours are great for meeting neighbors that live within MDCA. A great place for young professionals. V

This apartment is incredible. The people that live and work here are always willing to help you when they can. The apartment holds events for residents supplied with food and wine. It is a great way to meet everyone in the building. This apartment is also extremely pet friendly. There is a down payment to have a pet, but then it is only 20$ per month to have one. There is a "poop pit" just down...
