Martha's: Better Than Many Others

Average Rating

I give Martha's a 3.5 out of 5. Its a good shop.
I've seen a lot worse & I have seen better.
I can tell you that I usually select bike shops based on what I am looking for. But this is me.

Martha's is usually my first choice. It is my local shop and I have a business relationship with Ed, the owner. My needs are satisfied most of the time. When needs are not met, I make sure I let Ed know about it. Ed has told me that he is working to make improvements. To Ed's credit, He Pretty Much Runs The Place Himself. At times he does have 2 other part time employees. All in all, I don't think...

Great Service

I live in Boston and have been to a bunch of bike shops up here. They vary from the large, clean, and commercial to the hipster "I'm too cool to sell you bike" kind of stores. I bought my bike, a Bianchi, in Cambridge where I received…

I'd like to second David's review of a very helpful place even when you're not buying anything. (Or at least didn't think you were. :D) I forgot to get a...

Flawless repair

It is a clean and spacious bike store. The service was nice, repairs are flawless and the location is perfect. I feel for the owner of the store and write this review to protect him against baseless accusations in being "rude" in a…

I was camping in Myles Standish park and had a blown tire. Brought bike to the shop, somewhat warily due to some bad reviews here, but was met with competent and friendly service. The tube was replaced almost instantly, the repairmen…

Best Bike Shop In New England By Joyce Willrett

I have been to Martha's once and the owner Ed is the most knowledgeable guy you could know when it comes to bikes. I know him personally and he is kind, thoughtful, helpful, man. I would recommend you go to his store and see for yourself,

DON'T GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS SHOP!!!

I have been in here a handful of times and I always hear the same used car saleman tactics. It was tried on me originally so I just thought it was a joke the first time but every time since I have heard the same thing. Mr. Used Car Salesman will try to get you to buy a more expensive bike or the higher price product saying ""Your worth it"" or ""Your girlfriend is worth it."" Gets a bit old. Sometimes you have a budget you want to stick to or you want an honest opinion as to why the lower priced product isn't as good or maybe why it is better. ...

I went to Martha's looking for a bike for a 10 mile commute and was treated with respect, great information, and a friendly salesperson (who I later found out was the owner). Ed offered for me to test ride the bikes I was interested in and…

I dont know much about bikes but am learning. I went to martha's today and to my surprise, I was treated with such rudeness. I asked questions about things I did not know about and basically was laughed at. I am not sure why they think…

WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I must say that I am still beside myself after my visit to Martha's Bicycle shop in Plymouth today. I have an E-Bike that is pretty much a regular bicycle with disk brakes and v-brakes and the same gears and sprockets as a regular pedal…
