The entire floor was soaking wet because the windows would gather condensation and then just drip onto the floor. Someone was supposed to come do something about the wet carpet but it never materialized.

well i'm an easy person to please but, We had a late check in when we got to our room the door was proped open because the room smelled so musty and the carpet was wet in several places. No other rooms available. the staff offered nothing but were sorry

Recently remodeled, nice new bed. Clean.\n\nThe door to the room is not tight and allows a lot of noise in from the hall. We had running, playing children but eventually the staff calmed them down. The fan in the bathroom was really stout, so with that and the heat on, no problem sleeping.

everything you need. They only have outdoor pool but have arrangements with hotel next door w/inside one. Their free breakfast is top notch. Delicious &plenty of variety. Staff always pleasant &remember me upon check-in. Beds are the very best!!\n\nThey don't take cash but now that I know I deal with it.

The room itself, furniture, bedding, etc. was new and modern . TV was a beautiful flat screen with many channels. Breakfast was decent.\n\nBathroom was dirty. Specifically the toilet. Literally “pee” all around the floor. The rest of the bathroom was “cleaner” but couldn’t get over the “pee”. Also, there were a few “drunk” hotel guests

met my need for getting a room from reputable franchise at a location I needed; room was a good value for price paid\n\ntoilet appeared to back up, though did not overflow (barely); not sure if one has to hold the handle down longer to promote a proper flush and I wasn't going to try and find out; could just be a toilet issue;never have had such a problem in Hampton inns

ousekeeping service-- lack of personnel to service rooms --stayed 7nights didn't get room cleaned on 2 days and had to ask for clean towels -- 2 days partial a service - emptied trash and clean towels bed untouched

The room was nice and clean, the staff was courteous and respectful as well as responsive to questions and quick to change rooms when we were given a handicap room.\n\nThe only thing that was wrong of course was that this hotel did have some "toolbelt" operations that was not mentioned online.

Nice breakfast.\n\nChecked into room on 5th floor. Clerk had not activated card keys. Went back down to get them activated, Then discovered room had not been cleaned, unmade bed and towels on floor. Went back to get another room. strong smell of paint and new carpet.

My room wasn't cleaned at all while I was there. And when we couldn't login to wifi or detect it all we were told "Oh, well we have it down here", "Come login down here and bring it upstairs" as if it was something you can physically hold. And then sorry

The hotel is a hidden gem in Mechanicsville. Not far from Richmond or the airport. It was centrally located for my trip. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and quiet. I will stay here again.

We wanted a quick check-in at a hotel that was near enough to the i-95 and with a reasonable price, so that we can drive to New York the next morning. Was clean, and what we wanted for the night. We picked it mostly for location. We probably could have saved $30 or $40 at Days Inn or Red Roof. But this was fine. Solid breakfast. One warning, especially coming from a travel site. Make sure you book a non-smoking room if you don't smoke. We were given a smoking room which absolutely reeked. Luckily they could move us to another.

We stayed here at the half way mark to our week long vacation. They had an AWESOME breakfast that started our 2nd day of travel out real good! Lots of good sites to see brochures and the staff was very helpful. I left my purse at the pool-overnight! and they helped me to locate it right away. I was very lucky everything was exactly where I left it.Thanks!

visited family and points of interest in Williamsburg. coffee in the evenings even when we come back very late. We have stayed here many times. I always look forward to the fresh bowl of apples and basket of mints. Staff is always friendly.

Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a computer in the lobby with a printer and internet access. The Holiday Inn Express was located in a great location near a shopping center with plenty of restaurants to choose from. It was near the interstate which made it great for heading back home to Northern Virginia. When you are a female traveling alone-it is a nice feeling when you feel safe in a hotel and can get a good night's sleep.

The holiday inn express in mechanicsville, va. was extremely clean, very friendly, and the hospitality there was extremely nice. check in was a breeze, and took only a matter of seconds. it was located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of shopping and dining opportunities. the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
