Such a warm and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy the best Italian food we've had in a long time. Relaxing pace and courteous, knowledgeable service only enhanced our dining pleasure. The eggplant Parmesan was cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich and zesty with added …

Simple, good Italian, not the overblown Olive Garden "Italian" people usually get. The wait staff were really friendly and accommodating with our infant child. We are suckers for gnocchi and they did not disappoint.

Let me start by saying this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Williamsburg and likely on the entire Virginia Peninsula. I've been there 5 times. It was my wife's birthday and being of Italian descent, her favorite food. This seemed perfect after a visit to the DaVinci exhibition in town.Bruschetta Siciliana and …

I can't give this place more than one star. I was really hoping for better because the reviews are good and I've heard recommendations from a few sources. We had an awful experience. We were seated and then waited a solid 6 or 7 minutes before a server came by. Two tables were seated after we …

This place is definitely a hidden gem! The wait staff were beyond friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about my gluten free issues. They accommodated me wonderfully and cooked the gluten free pasta perfectly! Plus if you bring your own GF pasta, they will cook it for you.My husband loved his gnocchi and …

Eggplant pram and accompanying pasta was delicious.Vegetarian pasta with eggplant, bell pepper, and artichoke was very good. They really know how to make eggplant so that it's not bitter. The included garlic bread and house salad was good.Kids were happy with their meals. They were very large portions …

Ate there last night and it was horrible. I am not a picky Italian food eater, but I have never had chicken parmesan so poorly made. The wine was undrinkable.Bill way to much for the less than decent food.Stay away.

Visiting and decided to try a local place instead of the normal chain restaurants. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and atmosphere is family friendly. We'll definitely be back again.

We were in Williamsburg shopping for the day with extended family, so we thought we'd do a Yelp search and find some good Italian. That's all it was: good.Don't get me wrong, nothing was bad, but this place definitely is not amazing. The appetizers were actually the best part of the night. We had a couple …

Do yourself a favor - go to Frnacesco's for a fantastic dining experience. Generous portions, wide variety, and exceptional quality. All hand made by Francesco. You should consider a reservation if it is a peak time of the day or weekend. The seating area is small, which ensures everyone gets Francesco's personal attention. Absolutely the best you will find!!!!

I had been wanting to try Francesco's for dinner, and though I wasn't able to do this, I did manage to meet a friend from Richmond there for a light lunch. It was great! We got the minestrone soup and a vegetarian pasta dish. Everything was so fresh and value priced. My girlfriend felt she wouldn't be able to eat the large bowl of soup but found she couldn't stop herself. Our orders came with...

Who'da thunk it? This was an awesome Italian Restaurant that I was recommended by several locals that told me to come and try! I was told that if I didnt experience Francesco's before I left Williamsburg, than I wouldn't have had the whole "experience" I had the Seafood Canneloni with creamy Alfredo. My friend had the Pasta Sovranita.. chicken, bacon, and Italian Sausage, garlic, sundried...

Very dark interior makes it very difficult to see menu. Prices on the high side for food that seemed to be primarily without distinction. While the food was not bad it was also not something that would make you feel you got value for your money or want to come back. Restaurant was also rather cold inside. Overall, a highly disappointing experience. For the money, it should have been a much higher quality meal. Olive Garden provides a much better meal at a fraction of the price.

Pros

+ Food was served hot

Cons

- Pricy for food of average quality

Business description (1)

Picture this, Sicily, 1984. A little Sicilian boy at the tender age of 8 years old started working in a little bakery. Who knew that same boy would come to America at age 15 and work his way up the restaurant lladder to establish his very own restaurant in 2008! (he actually makes the bread for the subs and the entrees from the same bread recipe he learned as a boy.) No stranger to hardwork,...
