Great place to catch a quick, cheap lunch. Wait staff is always friendly, given the usual fast pace at lunch time. Not only the dogs are good, but the BBQ, NY Smokes and sandwiches as well. Sure, it gets crowded, but that's just a good sign that lots of people like to eat there. Enjoy!

I think their food is good. I hate how small the place is. Around lunch time you are like touching each other while you eat. Since, they attract more business now, they should really invest in a bigger place. Oh. .and don't bring a loud baby in there when they are busy.. the customers will give you dirty looks like they want you to leave.

The hot dogs are good. Cooked to order. Crinkle fries also cooked to order as well (from frozen) The ladies are very nice and quick. Counter seating, 9 table and chairs, plus a few picnic tables outside.
The hot dogs were great, the staff was extremely friendly. I wish their crinkled cut fries would be a lot better. I loved that the place was extremely clean. Would definitely recommend, will come back and try their other items.
Glad They're Open Again!. We stopped in here for lunch on Thursday after one of our co-workers came back from lunch and announced "Hey Al's is open again!". I didn't know it was closed... I’m not sure what makes this lunch-counter restaurant famous, as I’m unfamiliar with their name. They sell hotdogs, burgers, brats and various other items. The bratwurst I had was just fine and their fries were very good, as well. But famous? If in the mood for a hotdog or bratwurst, I’d go back.

The best thing about Famous Uncle Al's is the cheap prices. The hotdogs are very crunchy, which tastes aweful. Try the burger instead. The food handling is suspect as I saw the folks working behind the counter taking money and credit cards but not washing their hands before handlng the food.

One my of my 5 year old's favorite places, but I think she likes the fun animal plates more than anything. But for the price of 2 dogs and a drink, my family of 3 can all eat hot dogs at Sam's club. Just cant get the chili & cheese.
CASH ONLY!!!. Another restaurant that is cash only! The knockwurst (beef) was good and my husband enjoyed the bratwurst (veal) with two slices of cheese covered with chili. The crinkle cut fries were so-so, but I can't get over the cash only.
Thumbs Up for Sweet Potato Fries!. Actually - thye are more a battered sweet potato nugget than fries. I thought they were outstanding and at a 1.75, a bargain. Recommend giving them a try - if you like sweet potatoes.

It is what it is. This place is a bargain. You pay under 3 bucks for a hot dog (boar's head) and 50 cents for certain toppings (kraut, etc) The hot dog was great & the buns were cheap tasting, but you have to keep in mind that it is what it is...an inexpensive place to get a dog! Fries were crinkle cut (dont remember how much they cost) and soda was HUGE and served with a cool chipped ice....
Famous Uncle Al's, was a quick lunch stop for us , before hitting the movie theatre. Not a bad spot to get a quick bite to eat. we were anticipating a little more from there famous footlong hotdogs. they were ok, but nothing over the top.
Took some of our hockey team here last year and all were anxious to get back this weekend. Went Friday afternoon. Good dogs and chili sauce. Some even went back Sunday. Small place so it gets packed!
