ZERO STARS!!!!! THEY TOOK COINS FROM MY CHILDREN!!!! I had coins given to my children from my father stored in the attic near my A/C unit which are now gone. This company was THE ONLY ones up there. Easy to see why these thieves are out of business. BEWARE OF BRIAN DUVAL and anything he does!!!!!!!!

They were the only guys that could come out on such short notice...guess that was because all the smart people checked the reviews and bypassed these guys. Total waste of $410.00.
$85.00 to "diagnose" the system. Only hooked up gauge to discover the obvious, the system needed R22. No inspection of core, no inspection of other parts of unit, no maintenance...nothing else.
Technician advised it needed 5lbs of R22. My unit only holds 5lbs??? Apparently, even though its blowing cool air, it was empty.
Offered "EZ Seal" leak fix. They are charging
$165 for a 12oz can of EZ Seal!!! That's almost $14/oz!
Asked how much to do a leak test on the unit?
$275!!! Totally outrageous prices.
Do yourself a favor, go to the more reputable companies, this one is a TOTAL RIP OFF!!!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. They were called because my heater was no longer working. Whenever I asked the technician a question about what was wrong or what he was doing, he seemed to go around my question, not giving a clear answer. He claims to have replaced a pump, saying it was bad and that everything was good to go. The next day, I had the same problem. My landlord called another company. They spotted the problem right away, a bad pump (go figure). Duval stated that because I had the thermostat on "On" instead of "Auto", I burned it out. Why is that option on a thermostat if it cannot be used? Anyhow, I told the new technician how the previous technician said it was my fault for using that setting for a brief period of time. Here's the funny part: Before I even mentioned the other company's name, he flat out said, "That sounds like something Duval would say." I said, "OMG, Duval was indeed the one who said it." He then pulled out the "new" part that Duval replaced and showed it to me, placing a brand new one beside it. Duval either never replaced it or put in another burned out pump. As with the other reviews, you'd be wasting your time and money on Duval. They are so lame, cheap, and lazy (which I was told by other companies) and they were right!
Duval scheduled an appointment with us for Wednesday between 10-2. My wife arranged her schedule around this date/time. On Tuesday morning they called to say it was today (Tuesday) from 10-2. My wife said, no, it's tomorrow. Duval said no, it's today. So my wife rearranged her schedule again. Right after that, Duval calls back to say, no, sorry, our mistake, it's tomorrow (Wednesday). We tried to get it scheduled for Tuesday since she had already changed her schedule; Duval said they couldn’t do it. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told our supervisors aren't taking calls today. We asked to speak to Mr Duval, but he wasn't in and they didn't know when he would be available. What a runaround, and what kind of supervisors don't take phone calls? We were told at least 4 times someone would call us back, NO ONE did.
Save yourself the time and aggravation and do not use Duval Heating and Air. This is the worst experience we have had. This company is unprofessional and completely incompetent in all that they do from the technicians to office personnel to even the man himself Mr. Duval. As far as customer service goes forget it. We were stuck with these people because that’s who our home warranty company called. From the 19th of June all the way up until the 29th we had to go through 35 total phone interactions (14 of which were unanswered), 10 appointments for a technician to come fix our A/C (Several of these were either no shows or late showing up), one wrong ordered part, and one great debacle including 4 technicians and Mr. Duval which finally pushed us over the edge to a new company. Atlantic Heating and Air fixed it within 4 hrs of the phone call.

This company is awsome. I called my warranty when my water heater started leaking Duval came out the same day and within about and hour an installer was out to replace it. Duval may be the worst plumbing company I have ever had the misfortune of working with. They installed a sump pump correctly, and then conned me into replacing sewer pipes that were also installed incorrectly. 6 months later, the issue still isn't resolved. My tenants moved out because of the stress and frustration. If I could give them negative stars, I would.
I give this company one star. We had our heat go out in very cold weather and it wasn't fixed for 11 days. It took them 8 days to get the part. I would suggest finding another contractor.
This company did a great job for us. The plumber came in and immediately saw the problem and fixed it within a very reasonable time. He was courteous and professional. I would use them again for plumbing issues.
If at all possible do not use this company. After taking 5 hours to install a new water pump, the technician left and the pump began to leak worse the old one. And EMERGENCY SERVICE is only available when you can get through to the company. The voicemail box for emergency service is always FULL.
Worst company ever! Find someone else. After misdiagnosing a common problem, running VERY late for an appointment, not communicating with the homeowner, taking 6 days to order a part, and taking 3 weeks to fix the problem, they tried to bill me twice for the repair. DuVal has done work for me several times, using the warranty company each time.Tracy handles the calls very professionally, while also being friendly. The service man arrived much earlier than scheduled, but who can complain about getting service sooner than expected. He was well mannered and did an excellent job.
I also have First American Home Warranty and when my hot water heater got a leak, Duval was called by them. I filed my claim online at 9:00pm and at 7:00am the next morning Tracy (who is very nice!) called to schedule the service call. I had horrible service, I had to cancel their service. They never showed up for the appointment, and then the manager got an attitude when I asked when they were going to show up. I had to cancel and call a different company. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
