The hotel was great, the front desk has the best customer service. My room was spacious and clean and the candy was a nice touch.!\n\nThe only thing I wasn't happy about my room was the shower curtain rod was being held up by a bungee cord attached to the ceiling so you could only close the curtain half way.

I spent quite a lot of time at the hotel and found it a pleasant environment.
jacuzzi was out of order, ask the desk clerk what was wrong with it, and when it will be working she had no idea and did not attempt to try to find an answer. Took a hot bath, only to find out that the tub had leaked into the carpet, so towels had to be put down on the carpet, from the bathroom to the bed. notified desk clerk upon discharge and was told that they will check into it
This hotel is next to a mountain of garbage. The smell was horrific. The hot tub was out of order and the gym equipment was also not working. Awful hotel. Will never book it again.

I went to visit my boyfriend while he was doing a job in the area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk was friendly and professional. Clean room, comfortable bed on the firmer side. Breakfast was what you would expect from a hotel, decent but not extraordinary. The pool could have been cleaner, but it smelled strongly of chlorine so I'm sure it was sanitary. If you're visiting Fort Lee or VSU in Petersburg, great location. If you're looking to visit Richmond, it's about 35 minutes away.
Our stay at this hotel met our needs. We were on our way to Delaware from Atlanta. I would say that it is time for an update to this hotel. The complimentary breakfast lacked breakfast meat.
I stayed here to visit Fort Lee. It was very close to my daily destination. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were much larger than I anticipated and I wanted for nothing. I will stay here again for my next visit.

Cheryl Toomer (concierge) made me feel at home. If we ever needed anything she gave us the best advice of where to go and what to see. We took her up on both dinner and gym recommendations and it exceeded our expectations. Ask for Cheryl and she will deliver!
My husband and I stayed here in early June. When we arrived we found that Expedia had messed up our reservation. The front desk manager Cheryl Toomer was just great! She fixed everything for that night and then made sure our return stay at a different site was correct. She is so pleasant and capable. Thanks again.

Stayed at motel several times while in town on business. Pleasant atmosphere. Front desk personnel efficient and couteous. No stress stay.
The first thing that hit me as I entered the hotel was the stale odor in the lobby and it appeared to be dark and dreary. The room itself was okay, it was clean, but the pillow arrangement was a little strange. Although it wasn't a completely bad experience I don't think I'll be recommending this one to any of my friends.

We enjoyed our stay while waiting to move my daugther into her dorm room. The area surrounding the hotel was very accommodating for shopping, restaurants and it was a short distance from the school.
I reserved a jacuzzi room for me and my husband on 5-2-09. Before arriving we decided to go to williamsburg and get the same room for almost 90.00 cheaper. When i cancelled i didnt get a cancelaton # as i was driving to the other hotel. On 5-5-09 i saw my checking account was over drawn 251.52 they charged my room 193.14. Long story short they wont give me my money back and the general manager was rude an ""very unprofessional"" so i called the corperate office nothing was done and again no phone call recieved in return. So i am now left with no choice to file a warrent an pay 53.00 for it...
