Went by today to see if they could order or had an odd sized tank. Staff was harried/busy but had few customers. They were not particularly knowledgeable about tanks and sizes. This is a bit odd, seeing that about 50% of the floor space is dedicated to aquatics. Was told to call the owner after 4 pm.

One staff who was overworked. Prices were outrageous. Store not that clean. They have a parrot there in a cage way too small for her. This parrot clearly bonded with a customer while I was there. No one else could handle this bird. This bird can also be aggressive. The customer really wanted this bird and would have kept it in an approprate environment. Of course the owner was willing...

Maru pets used to be the destination store for salt water and freshwater fish in the Fredericksburg area. I still have a pleco and striped raphael I bought from them over 7 years ago. The customer service is horrible. The store is very unorganized and trashy. The terrible smell hits you before you get to the front door. I will never attempt to shop that store ever again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone!
