Middleton Tavern presents local and regional acoustic musicians nightly at its Oyster Bar lounge. The Oyster Shooter—raw oysters served in a shot glass with vodka and cocktail sauce and washed down with beer—supposedly originated here. The upstairs piano bar is open on Friday and Saturday nights.

The menu seemed to have quite a bit that looked delicious! We were promptly seated...it was mid-week so not very busy. Ordered the Seafood Tower for Two as it had a variety of appetizers. Mediocre. The calamari was indeed good, however the Clams Casino had a lot of oil in it....not appetizing. 2 sea scallops and 2 shrimp...they were good....

Whether outside on the porch, in summer or seated by the fire in the winter ..... the menu offers something for every taste - good, reliable American cuisine with energetic service! Maybe not the most appropriate place for young children.
