This place was the first certified green restaurant in Alaska, and proud of it. It features regional, organic ingredients, baked goods made with hand-ground grain, and fresh seafood in season. You can get box lunches for your all-day fishing or sightseeing trips—even order them online for next-day pickup. There's a small gift shop and a play area outside for kids.

I love their breakfast. I wanted to start everyday there. The food was so good it was hard to make a decision. Everyday I had a new favorite.

Another place I truly wish was open year round. Awesome spot for breakfast - they have great option options available all the time, but their specials usually are so interesting you feel compelled to try them. Local, organic and healthy foods you will love. Try to get there early...there is usually a wait!

Stopped by as we were heading from Homer back to Anchorage to get something to take on the road. Got their Fresh Blueberry and cheese danish and we wished we bought more than two! We stopped by the cafe for lunch during our visit to Homer. They have been serving organic food since 1982 which was very impressive. I ordered a "grilled halibut sandwich with alaskan organic potatoes" and my wife had a smoothie. The service was good. We got our order served quickly.
