"Is this a gay bar?"
"Who cares, it's an awesome bar"
Yes, my friends and i stumbled upon this place during a Saturday afternoon of day drinking. It smelled kinda funky, but there was a pool table and game machines to gamble so we stayed and had several rounds. The bartender was super friendly and so was the clientel. It...
We came to embers on a recommendation from a friend. We are glad we did. We had some much fun watching the drag queens dance and party. They have a dance club on other side that was also very good.

Just one creative, fun person in management could turn everything around. But unfortunately the Entertainment Director would be better employed at a funeral home.
The drag queens perform to the most boring depressing music. Like clockwork around 11pm you'll see a fairly large crowd, lots of wedding parties, etc. Then they'll just peel off and start leaving.
Why? Because they are there to party not listen to a drag queen do a slow version of a depressing showtune.
Pros
+ Music is upbeat; although the same mix over and over;
Cons

This venerable 43-year-old gay dance club has one helluva bar that doubles as a fish tank. About a mile long and as impressive as a movie pimp's shoes, one could literally stare at the little microcosm beneath your beer coaster for hours. Beyond that, there are drag shows and dancing nearly every night in this massive downtown space. Don't come for the food, rather come for the hilarious...
