The lights are dim and the sushi chefs are laid-back at this combo restaurant and karaoke bar. Healthy portions of fresh sashimi and sushi are hand-rolled within minutes of ordering. Spicy tuna, crab and eel are some of the more delectable options and are served with generous amounts of ginger and wasabi. Diners can also choose from a selection of salads and rice entrees. On most nights, you...
At this P Street bar you’ll find a chill lounge area downstairs--complete with a 1,200-gallon fish tank--and a karaoke bar on the second floor, which gets especially rowdy on the weekends. A funky...
This place is a hoot. The upstairs is a karaoke bar, where locals and tourists seem to be competing for most humorous performance. The downstairs is a respectable restaurant, serving sushi and Japanese fusion dishes. Beyond the restaurant is a club, featuring live jazz on Wednesdays and loud DJ music otherwise. Take your pick.
We had a groupon here and the staff seemed annoyed that we bought It. Had seats at the sushi bar and marveled at all the 20,30 somthings reveling in a community sing karaoke. Small place 10-15 tables; hundred or so folks all seeming to have a good time.
Was about 11pm when we arrived and took the last two chairs at the sushi bar.
Found Japone by Groupon. 4 rolls, large Sapporo, sake $50...
I've had the food a couple of times. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything memorable. Possibly even more disappointing was that their beer selection sucks. I'm not rude in reviews, and I like to give support where it's due, but yeah. When Sapporo is the best you have for beer, you need to rethink your libations.
The karaoke is...
