I went to zinc last weekend for a special occasion with my wife. I was under the impression it was exspensive from what I heard and how nice the place is, I was shocked to find out that it is just as affordable as most other restaurants(chain restaurants are a little cheaper but who wants food that has been frozen for months). Tons of great choices on the menu as well as the chalkboard specials. I had the camembert app and the grouper special, hands down best restaurant in virginia beach and not just a special occasion place, its an everytime we go out place. I recommend to anyone going out to eat.

I am a picky eater and Zinc offers so many choices that I had a hard time making my food selection. The servers were very helpful and offered explanations on all of my questions which helped me decided on which entree choice I chose; I would tell you but that it the best part of eating out. If you are looking for great food and drinks, Zinc is the place. I will be back.

Zinc is a gorgeous restaurant filled with knowledgable staff and creative chefs. The ambiance is refreshing, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is top notch. I ate there for lunch and had a caprese panini which came with a cup of gazpacho, this was delicious and perfect on this hot day. Zinc is not your typical french restaurant; if you haven't been you are missing out.

We have visited Zinc on three occasions two dinners and lunch. One of the more involved and intricate restaurants at the beach. If you are an experienced diner and looking for a more polished cuisine, you will find it at Zinc, the service, interior and selections on their menu are all done with perfection. The menu lends itself to the Americanized French style. Zinc is definetly a place to...

Zinc was dissapointing. We really love the Bistro in Norfolk, but Zinc does not compare. Service was incredibly slow...15 minutes for cocktails. The food was marginal...steaks significantly overdone and dried out. They compensated, of course, but a return visit yielded a similiar experience. So, if you're looking for fine dining in VB, my advice would be to head down Laskin to Aldos.
