I purchased two blue leather recliners 4 years ago. The recliners rocked but did not swivel. Because of this, it was difficult to arrange furniture in the family room. Also, the foam in the seats of each recliner needed replacing, and one of the recliners had a split about 1 to 11/4 inches long in the leather in the front due to stress on the leather. I called Y and J. Mr. Yarborough came out within a few days. The break in the leather was pointed out, the foam in the cushions, and the request to have the chairs made into swivel as well as rocking recliners. He stated he would check...

Y&J is a real treasure for this area. They have all of the craftsman needed to build, repair and restore furniture. We had them rebuild a 100-year old couch and they did an incredible job. We also had them price out building an exact replica of an antique bed. It was pricey, but they could do it. They also have an incredible selection of hardwood, handbuilt furniture in their store. They may take some time to complete work, but the quality is outstanding.

Work was completely unsatisfactory, and took forever to boot

We hired Y&J to paint some custom-built unfinished wood cabinets and a few other pieces of unfinished furniture, and were MOST unsatisfied with the result:

- All of our pieces were supposed to be painted the same color of off-white, but when returned to us were painted different shades (in one instance, two visibly different shades on the same piece);
- The furniture was covered with what looked like overspray from some other paint job involving red, orange, and/or black paint;
- One cabinet that was supposed to have its finish removed and repainted simply had an extra coat of paint added...
