Help us make it rightAs you work your way through a sampler of surprisingly complex Greek wines, relaxing against a backdrop of Greek folk music and softly romantic décor in shades of dove gray and Aegean blue, it's easy to forget you're in a suburban strip mall. Nor will the kitchen, which specializes in Greek island cuisine, do anything to dispel that happy illusion. Order à la carte---shrimp sautéed with...
The owner's family recipes and traditional Greek cuisine from the island of Xios are made daily from scratch.

XIOS is exactly what I have been looking for in a Greek restaurant for a long time. It is hard to come by a place that has great decor, great staff, and great food without the prices being outrageous. What is even better is that you don't even have to go all the way into downtown Raleigh to find a decent place like this.
Nestled in a shopping center on the corner of Hwy 55 and Apex Peakway, right down the strip from Rudinos, next to a dry cleaner, and surrounded by several grocery stores, it is incredibly convenient for anyone who lives in the Morrisville/Apex/Cary/Holly Springs...
This is my new favorite restaurant! There are so many great choice on the menu to please everyone in my family: me (the adventurous eater), my husband (meat eater), and my daughter (she's 7, enough said). There were lighter choices than I have seen on some Greek menus, which I appreciated.
The service was excellent. The pace of the meal was relaxed and homey.
We live in Apex, but if you don't, it is worth the trip!
Pros
+ Patio, variety of choices, upscale decor, great service
This is a wonderful, friendly place. The food is excellent . We have tried other Greek restaurants, but this is by far the best.
Pros
+ DELICIOUS FOOD EVERY TIME
When I first moved to Apex 4 years ago I frequented this restaurant during my pregnancy. I returned 2 years ago after I moved to Fuquay-Varina and noted that the food quality had gone down as well as the portion size. The service was spotty as well. I left a review but I can't find it. I see other older reviews but mine is gone. Odd. I stand on the opinion that Nikos is a much more authentic restaurant as I have dined there with true Greeks. I think if XIOS would mend its consistency problems (I see others have complained as well) then it would be a 5 star restaurant.
Pros
+ Nice...
The Greek island of XIOS (pronounced khi-os), home to our family for generations, is known for its polite and peaceful residents who welcome visitors and guests with kindness and hospitality. We apply these same principles to preparing and serving traditional Greek cuisine, often paired with Greek wines of superior quality, at our family-owned and operated restaurant.
We enjoy preparing...
News & Observer food critic Greg Cox says: Tapas-like mezethes are the specialty at this romantic family-run eatery specializing in Greek island cuisine. Choose à la carte options ñ spanakopita, melitzana iman (feta-stuffed eggplant), saganaki and shrimp sautéed with ouzo are all winners ñ or order one of the Village Special samplers for two. A softly contemporary décor sets a carefree romantic...
