Amazing BBQ Restaurant, true artist at work. Very friendly staff, and clean restaurant. I have order their BBQ by the pound for parties and events, and everything was always Hot and Ready at the times requested. They are very generous with their sauces and extras. I recommend this BBQ to all BBQ lovers!!!
I'm a BBQ lover and thought North Carolina BBQ was tops. Wood Chicks has is as good as and, by far, the best in south Hampton Roads. If you're looking for the real thing, this is it. Hope they open an outlet in Virginia Beach soon.
Have eaten B B Que from West to East coast. Wood Chicks is by far the best. Only wish they had another outlet closer to home to frequent more often
This Okie likes your bbq and your competitions and the judge in Texas that said they tasted the lighter fluid on your ribs should be drinking water between contestants. The next time I go east again I'm still eating at your place
Can't understand the hype on Woodchicks....some of the worst BBQ I've ever had. The meat has absolutely no taste whatsover. The only way to give it any taste is by whatever condiment you apply to give it flavor. Hushpuppies were hard and flavor-less as well. Better choose a different place....can't believe this trash beat Bobby Flay....unless Bobby's stuff is worse!
I tried the one on Battlefield. The food was bad, way overpriced. Service was deplorable and everyone was very rude, unwelcoming, and couldn't even do their job as well as your average teenager at McDonalds. Save your money, your time, and your positive view of humanity and avoid this place like the plague. I wish I didn't have to give it a star. I ate at a Burger King once when traveling late...

Not worth the trip. After see the owner on Bobby Flay and winning, i convinced a few co workers to go to try the food. Saturday night and only three tables at 7pm should have been my first clue. The food was nothing to rave about, beef brisket was dry and overcooked, almost looked dried out like it was microwaved. Ribs were tough and not tender, pork was ok, but dry.

Wood Chick's BBQ serves real pit barbeque. The pit is fueled by hickory and apple woods to slow smoke bone-in pork butts, pork ribs, beef brisket and chicken seasoned with a barbeque dry rub for up to 16 hours. The menu includes sides like cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans and hush puppies.
