The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. Dr. Chie-Youn Shih is a pediatric critical care physician at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Shih earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and completed a residency at Schneider Children's Hospital.

Dr. Harrington is a board-certified general pediatrician and father of an adult son with autism. He is a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow recipient for primary care research and completed a three-year HRSA mentoring program for general pediatric research. Dr. Harrington is division director of General Academic Pediatrics, located on the first floor of CHKD. His group has over 25,000 visits per year. His main interests are autism, obesity, behavioral problems, and the education of medical students and pediatric residents. He is a professor of pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Harrington feels that providing care to patients in a team/family environment is pretty special.

Dr. Brenner is the medical director of CHKD's sports medicine and adolescent medicine programs and the director of CHKD's sports concussion, dance medicine and running programs. Dr. Brenner attended medical school at SUNY Buffalo and completed his pediatric residency training at EVMS. He completed fellowships in sports medicine and adolescent medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where he also received a master of public health at the University of Texas. Dr. Brenner lectures locally, nationally and internationally on topics including concussions and over-training in young athletes and sports specialization. Dr. Brenner has testified before the state and federal legislature to assist with laws protecting student-athletes with concussions.

Dr. Wojcik spends part of the week at the CHKD Norfolk hospital location as well as several days a week on the Peninsula. He is the first CHKD surgeon to actually live on the Peninsula, making the Oyster Point office his primary location. Dr. Wojcik has also recently expanded the CHKD urology presence to Williamsburg to better serve our patients.

Dr. Hubbard is professor of clinical pediatrics at EVMS and director of its Sentara Center for Simulation and Immersive Learning. His educational background includes degrees from the University of Virginia (BA psychology/biology), Eastern Virginia Medical School (MD), University of Pittsburgh (MPH), and the Marshall Wythe School of Law of the College of William and Mary (JD). He has been at EVMS and CHKD since 1981.Dr. Hubbard is heavily involved in the EVMS curriculum, serving as the chairperson of the medical education committee, directing the clinical curriculum for medical students during their first two years, and having oversight of educational programming in the clinical skills center.
