Just tried to check this place out, to find out it is closed. Looks to be "craft 60 ale house" now instead.

Reborn as "Craft 60 Ale House", this is still a marginal "sports bar" that has more TVs than types of beer. The happy hour covers only the cheap stuff. You can do better.

Sketchy location. Other than that, fantastic! The food was carefully thought of and prepared as ordered. Absolutely perfect shrimp. The beer selection was in depth and various. The bartender was very knowledgeable on all drinks and food. Their music selection was the best! Karl Werne jammed out everything from the Beatles, to his awesome originals. Best restaurant in Newport News!!

not tourist friendly pub. another example for the rigid selection policy. the uneducated rude giant selector think they know best but they dont. hope that this pub will go bankrupt.

We like the Weekend Pub a lot. Service is fairly random, so you are not sure when you will get someone's attention or your drink or your food, but the food is good and the live music is always very good. They used to have T-shirts that you could get if you eventually tried all 100 beers they had over...
