We recently took our second trip here. Being from Connecticut, I had always skiied in Vermont but I took advantage of lift tickets that I won at 99 Restaurant playing trivia and I'm glad I did. It was worth the four hour drive.
Both of our visits were in mid March and the conditions were excellent, still winter not spring...

Both kids really enjoyed their lessons at Waterville. The mountain isn't too big and it is easy to find people. The nordic ski trails are really well maintained too.
It is a nice little ski village. Not really a place to go for a non skiing vacation. IT would be nice in the summer. I didn't like the lack of food options and lack of non skiing activities.
