Wonderful place to spend an afternoon with family and friends. The displays are wonderful and the variety of animals gets better all the time. Can't wait to see the newest addition.
tucked inside the city of Norfolk the Zoo has spent considerable effort in creating an "open African plain" to exhibit the lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra, rhino - ostrich(?), and bongo. A vast improvement over the segregated cages. The prairie dog exhibit is also incredibly fun!!
Norfolk Zoo is a great time for the family. The baboons will make you laugh hysterically. It has the main staple animals you would expect from a zoo, but not much more.
This zoo has really improved over the last 20 years. The renovations and new exhibits make it worth a visit.
Great Zoo for an area of this stature. We are not a HUGE city and having a zoo with these animals is a plus for our kids. IT's easy to walk the entire place without anyone getting tired and there is plenty of shaded areas along the way. Very clean grounds!
