The seafood market is the best kept secret at the beach ! The food is awesome, the the staff is great, and the music is great. If the service is a little slow, it's because there is not a lot of servers. It's a family run, True taste of eastern Va coastal cuisine.
Don't trust what the New York Times says about this eatery. Service is slow and the food is ordinary at best. The oysters are so small they are hard to see, much less taste. A totally forgetful meal. And they had run out of shecrab soup at 4:30 p.m.
the worst place to buy crabs, they sold me a dozen of steamed crabs that were smelly and unedible, i hope this place close, i have wasted my money and my effort because i have to throw the crabs in the garbage
The atmosphere was fun and friendly and the service was pretty decent and the crabs are good but everything else is inconsistent. You get the whole paper-on-the-table crab picking experience but the place is really dirty and you can smell the nasty garbage dumpster from the back patio. I have been eating crabs at this establishment since its opening. They are the best in town in my book. There was also a recent virginia pilot restaurant review for best crabs in Hamton Roads by 6 expert crab guru's and recieved a 2nd place. I say give them a try you will be glad you did.
