Editorial reviews from the web (3)

Located in Thornton Park, this inn near scenic Lake Eola is another option if you want to stay near downtown. Its four buildings date back to the early 1900s. All units (studios to suites) include private bathrooms and entrances; some have garden tubs, balconies, kitchenettes, and four-poster beds. A few of the nicer options include the Washington Suite, which sports a four-poster bed and a...

An historic collection of buildings offering gracious Southern charm in the city's sophisticated Thornton Park.

Located in downtown Orlando’s trendy Thornton Park, this collection of five historic buildings from the early 1900s combines European design, Art Deco colors and the casual, gracious elements that make the Southern lifestyle so appealing. Urban oasis? Definitely. With a touch of the plantation tossed in, French doors, wraparound balconies and the secluded pool and hot tub area are cloaked in...

Great City location

Great city location. Close to downtown, close to Bob Carr Perf Arts. Great places to local places to eat. Safe enviornment.

Not impressed

For a business trip, the only saving aspect is its down town location. Room overlooked a shed with an outdoor party area behind that. Check in was slow with no one in the office area on my arrival. After being late for my first meeting (only partly because of no one being available to check me in) and being on the road for 20 hours, i dreamed of getting to sleep. Too bad there was a party in...

Lovely place but lacks a bit on easy stuff.

Location is great for downtown Orlando, a block from Lake Eola. My pet peeves were basically a lack of towels, particularly a bathmat for coming out of the shower. The floors are tiled and can get slippery. Bed was very comfortable, we stayed in the first floor Europa room. Although the coffee was good the breakfast lacked. Most B&B's I've stayed in have fresh baked goods in the morning, these...

The Veranda

The only thing we wish is more vegan treats for breakfast.

Understated elegance for your next outdoor event

Southern charm and Old World elegance find a happy meeting place at the Veranda Bed and Breakfast. Organized like a European-style bed and breakfast and decorated like a 19th century plantation home, the Veranda offers plenty of entrancing detail, such as antique claw-foot tubs and four-poster king size beds. Guest rooms are individually named and decorated, from the green gardens of the Erte...
