“A great community tavern/restaurant”

M J's Tavern
Michael and John opened MJ'S less than a year ago and have been making a name for themselves in the Norfolk community as a great tavern and comfortable restaurant since then. From Grandparents to Grandchildren you'll find just about everyone here. Although gay owned this is truly a community place and usually a mixed crowd is present. They have a computerized "Juke Box" and a pool table, dining room and bar area. It is a non- smoking building and very comfortable. The food is Creative American with generous portions (try their soups they are delightful). Sunday Brunch is both breakfast and lunch/dinner foods at a reasonable price. Lunch and dinner are served Mon-Sat. Then after 9PM light fare is available and a more Tavern atmosphere is present but it is still comfortable and easy to hang out in. They are flexible with dietary restrictions if asked nicely (I can't eat wheat for example) and they have always welcomed me with my Service Dog without a fuss. I had my birthday party there recently and although we required multiple checks the wait staff handled this without any problem. They also handled our needs gracefully and left all of us feeling well cared for. You must give them a try. Tell them Remi the Service Dog sent you. :D

“Reliable and honest”

Nobles Auto Ctr
I started taking my vehicles to Nobles in the late90's and even when I left the area I kept referring to them as they were the only folks that I knew were truly honest. They are really comitted to helping women to understand auto maintenence and live what they espouse as their religion. When I returned to this area I returned to them and I havent regretted it. Now their son Mark is there and he too seems to run an honest shop. Kudos L&D Noble for your hard work and good heart.

“Welcoming those of us with service dogs”

Roger Brown's Sports Bar
I have eaten here several times and now have a Service Dog again. The staff didn't "bat an eye" at our arrival. We were welcomed and well accomidated. As always the food was delightful. The only thing I want the Chef to know is to go a little easier on the salt. This is as much Fine Dining as 'Sprots Bar'. They have a varied menu with some WONDERFUL Low Country Luziana recipies such as the Shrimp and Grits. Scrumptious. And a wonderful She Crab soup. The prices are reasonable and service is excellent. ENJOY :D
