Took my 2 year old son here he loved it. Didn't take a instructed tour. Went in side staff didn't exactly jump at helping but my son loved it and it was really cool.

Its free. That is always nice on a family trip. You will be inspected at the gate, it is a military base after all. Great little museum located on Ft. Eustis. If your interested in the History of the Army Transportation this is the place to go. From the trains in the yard to the experimental vehicles this is a wonderful experience for all. You will see things you have never seen here. I enjoy it greatly and go at least once a year....

The only museum in the United States devoted entirely to the transportation sector of the military, and its history. A gift shop features a large variety of transportation memorabilia, ranging from transportation flags, to jewelry and novelty gift items.

This museum's six acres, situated inside the gates of Fort Eustis, will take you from early mule-drawn wagons to modern HUMMVs. The museum includes films, videos, dioramas, models, and a gift shop. Outdoor exhibits feature full-size vehicles and equipment.
