The place is under the street but is open and spacious. The tap is the best feature: real English ales and lagers on draft. Fish and chips plate was quite good, but for $20 I would expect it to be. We visited this restaurant to watch the world cup soccer game as no other Bethesda restaurants would give out reservations. It was a lot of fun as there were 2 games going on simultaneously and all 4 countries were well represented in the group. Parking for the game was tough, but manageable. When you walked down into the place that should have been first sign that you were going to a place better known for the drink than food. Menu items were not available, service was very, very slow, and it was a bit warm in the place. It's on the edge and needs work to upgrade the experience.
