Dangerous, poor customer service

If you do chose to rent from this location, be sure to check their work before leaving. I rented a trailer from there over the weekend. They were training a new girl and had her do the install. She was clearly struggling with it and the person who was training her never verified her work.

I made it about a quarter mile away and the trailer fell off. I picked it up off the ground and it dropped right onto my hitch. I turned the nut about 20 times to tighten it. Clearly, it was never tightened.

I called to let the girl know and she insisted that the new girl had tightened it and she watched her. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything, just trying to inform them of the situation and asking them to fix it so they don't kill someone in the future. They weren't having any of that, and just kept insisting they had installed it properly.

When I got back a few hours later, I asked to speak to a manager. The assistant manager was there and the first words out of her mouth was that she had already sent the video to the insurance company and I had to call them with any claim. When I explained to her that I wasn't going to make any claim, she said still insisted that the new employee had tightened it and the trainer verified it. I asked to see the video. She showed it to me and all it showed was the girl struggling to put it on and the trainer just standing back and watching. She never verified the new girls work. I told her she needs to be sure her employees aren't doing s@!t work and she kicked me out because she didn't know how to handle the situation.

I still haven't been contacted by U-Haul, the manager of this location, or the local rep that I called and left a message with.

I am very disappointing with the customer service I received at this location. Not only do they not properly train their new people, they also don't accept responsibility when they make a mistake. This isn't a minor problem. This could have killed someone and this problem needs to be addressed.

I'll be renting from Budget from now on.

I purchased a car in 2/2012, and was having my payment automatically taking out of my saving account every 2 weeks. Because DT started to not take the payments out on time i started to pay at Wal-Mart. I missed one payment in April due to a back injury, but doubled my payment that next month, and I thought I was up to date on my payments. Until 1/13 when I went to start my car and it was gone....
