Unfortunate

Pros:
-Food was good.
-Great food presentation.
Cons:
-A roach crawled out of the sugar packet tray and on our table. The tray was brought out of the kitchen.
-The restaurant requires coat & tie for dining guests, however, the dining room has a bar. The bar patrons are and DID walk in off the street in shorts, t-shirts & flipflops. You can literally shake hands with them while sitting in your booth.
-The food and side items arrived at different times.
-The booth we were seated in wobbled.
-The paint on the windows was chipping off and onto the booth because it has been painted over vice repaired.
-To use the restroom, you leave the restaurant entrance, go around the corner, in an elevator, through doors, down the hall following the scotchtape arrows. You arrive at a closet that is one step above an indoor outhouse. I felt cleaner, NOT washing my hands when I departed.
-The server, while friendly, was not of the fine dining caliber of a restaurant that demands Coat and Tie for the dinner guests.
-Other servers had fun gossiping about a guest that had something on the back of her neck.
-$143 plus tip.

We went to the Tap Room with a large group celebrating a friends retirement from the Navy. The selection of beer, cider, wine and spirits was amazing. The staff was exceptional. Personally I don't like beer that much. The bartender that was working found out what I wanted to drink and went above and beyond. I wanted a particular liquor...

went for some drinks. Days before we went to other bars/ restaurant in Granby street. Bad advice on choice of beers. At the Taproom we gave a description of the beer we liked and the bartender gave a perfect matching beer. And he succeeded 3 times with different beers. So great knowledge. Can not judge the food.

The restaurant was extremely loud & crowded when we arrived but a table was found very quickly. We think the crowd was from the beerfest event across the street that had just closed and people were still partying on this early Saturday evening. We had to shout to hear each other as the music was also loud.
Their beer list...

Staff are outstanding. We only had drinks and an appetizer (fried sliced mushrooms) AWESOME!!! Wanted to go back for a meal, but our schedules would not accommodate the desired break. Happy hour is a little cheaper, but regular prices are not shocking. Plan to make this our first stop on a return trip.

"Uptown, swank, and very cosmopolitan." Executive Chef/Owner, Todd Leutner, has created a menu of delicious first course offerings, and exciting entrees such as their blackened prime rib Oscar, chicken picatta, bronzed sea scallops & Carolina shrimp, crab cakes, and more. All of their steaks served are aged and cut in-house. They also have an impressive selection of wines, cocktails, beers, and...
