Never go to Trellis

My birthday dinner was to be here and my daughter had heard about it and made reservations at 5:45. There were 4 adults and a 3, 6 and7 year old. To make a long story short in almost two hours we had not entrees. We had not seen the waitress in about an hour but when we decieded to leave(it is not easy to entertain a three year old when there is not even an offer of more bread) the waitress appeared and instead of asking what she could do or tell us what the problem was she was ugly and said it was our fault as one person had gone to the restroom. I wish I had read the reviews on other...

Modern atmosphere, Try the Five Course ""Spring"" Dinner (or whatever season it is)

I am disheartened to read the other reviews. My husband and I think have great memories of this restaurant. Now, mind you, my more memorable experiences there have not been during the peak tourist seasons. The best times are early Spring and fall.

We absolutely love the quail and the rabbit here. The five course meal is a great deal (around $25) and you get a nice variety. This restaurant does depend on your waitstaff. We have had average waiters who didn't know much, and other times, waiters who knew what wines to pair and were very personable.

Service was decent, but everything else about this restaurant left much to be desired. To be fair, I can't evaluted their dinner menu since I've only had lunch here, but both times I've gone, the food was truly bad and as one of the nicer restaurants in the area, I was sorely disappointed, particularly given the price tag. My salad looked like something that should be served up in a public school cafeteria. Also, perplexingly the management apparently permits owners of the boutique next door to interrupt diner's lunch to advertise their spiel and pass out discount cards. TACKY.

Cold Unappetizing Food

Average Rating

From appetizer to main course to coffee, the food was terrible. The salad dressing tasted like vinegar. The soup was cold. The main courses came out looking as if they had been pre-prepared and sitting there for hours. The taste was at best ok. Couldn't wait for the famous death by chocolate cake with a good cup of coffee. The cake was good, but nothing memorable. The coffee tasted like dirty dish water or that the coffee beans had been recycled several times. We told our waiter that our food was cold when he asked how our meals were. His response was that he would tell the kitchen....
