In 1940 Scott King opened the first motel named Travelodge, and it became the official name of the company in 1946. Sleepy Bear was introduced as the company's mascot in 1954, and has been welcoming people to adventure ever since. Today, with locations close to beach adventures, downtown adventures and everything in between, Travelodge still accommodates adventure-seekers of all kinds.

The hotel has a unique set up. There are no ground floor rooms. And the 500 rooms were on the 3rd floor. The breakfast is carb heavy. Our bed was mid tier but comfortable.
