Well, the price was right, good value for the money. The receptionista was also very friendly and quite helpful regarding my questions about the dinner choices available around the hotel.
However, the room was not so nice. The carpet quite stained and most annoyingly, there was no light by the bed... first time ever...
Otherwise it was ok.

This place while the facility is dated, the room was clean and didn't smell of smoke, bathroom was newly renovated. We stayed 2 nights and it made a good base for us to travel to the nearby Outer Banks where lodging was $150-$200 MORE per night.

There aren't many hotels in Elizabeth City and they're all fairly expensive considering the location. After being quoted $71 for a double room at the Econolodge, we ended up at the Traveler's Inn. Room was clean, freshly and nicely painted. New furniture and refrigerator. Property is well-lit and recently painted.
