I got MUCH more than just solos. The teacher was really helpful in helping me understand the theory behind the songs (key, modes, etc.) and how to improvise and build on them. I also got good, practical exercises to help me build my technical skill.
I have not only noticed that my skills have increased 3-4 fold over the last nine months, but everyone who has watched/listen to me play is amazed with my progress. Like any activity or hobby, you get out of it what you put into it! The teacher is a wonder guide and instructor but the learning and practicing is on me!\r
Shane is one of the best teachers I've ever had. And quite possibly the best musician I've ever seen.His lessons are engaging and productive and he can communicate any concept in a way that a student can understand. He is an excellent music/entertainment teacher and can teach you all about the music biz as well.
