I had Top Hat inspect and clean my heatilator on Saturday. They found a door problem all the other sweeps missed for 25 years. It involved loosening 2 screws to make the doors stay in place. During their visit they told me of a door problem I didn't know I had, swept my chimney, inspected it; all to my satisfaction. My Tech Mike was excellent.

I called Top Hat Chimney Sweeps to remove a dead animal (turns out it was a squirrel) from my chimney. I was surprised at the astronomical quote for supposed "repairs." They charge to "inspect" to do an estimate. Fortunately, our long trusted contractor examined the areas quoted and said it was absurd - everything was in fine shape. The crew was friendly but there were clearly communication problems on my initial call.
