I bought my Dyson for a warranty repair today after calling Dyson to have the problem fixed. When I entered the store a older gentleman was working I believe on a vacuum behind the wall. I sat there for over 5 minutes right in front of him and he never said a word to me. I finally said excuse me do you want me to come back at another time. He came over to look at the vacuum not even taking it apart to diagnose the problem. He then said I would need a whole new head for about $122 and said Dyson would not cover the repair even though I had a repair number, he stated that did not matter! I also then took this vacuum to another repair shop right down the road and the gentlman was so nice and took vacuum apart and said it was just the rotating spindle and side piece. I would think twice before you take you vacuum here!
I have been going to this store for my sewing machine needs for years. The guys there are extremely smart about there products and are always friendly. I recommend to anyone that needs a vacuum or sewing machine, to visit Tidewater Sew Vac in Great Bridge.
JoAnn's website for registering for the sewing class was STILL busted and I wasn't going to call them again since they gave me zero help when I did last time per my review on them. Anyway, with TSV I was able to register and this location offered four weekly classes from 6:00p - 8:00p for $75.00 which was fantastic!There were four students--not sure if this is the class capacity or if 4 people had signed up for that time slow--including myself and the instructor Mary was unbelievable! She's been sewing, serging, what-have-you for I think 30+ years she said. She knows machines, stitches, tools, patterns, everything! I truly appreciated her knowledge and experience. Our project was a pair of wide-legged, high-waisted, goucho-like pants with straight stitches, back pockets, pleats and elastic waistband.
