I liked the burrito but these empanadas were the star of my lunch. Perfectly fried and crispy, filled with huge chunks of chicken breast and covered in melted cheese, these may have been the best empanadas I've ever had. They also come with refried beans rice and pico de gallo making this a full meal and not just a snack or appetizer.

"Literally a hole-in-the-wall" in an alley a few blocks from Dupont Circle, this "wonderful" carry-out Mexican serves up "huge, delicious" burritos and other "tasty" standards that are guaranteed to "lead to a siesta" for "those who can finish" their order; it's cheap, but the chow is strictly a lunchtime treat – this "best-kept secret in DC" is only open weekdays, 11:45 AM–2:15 PM ("sharp").
