The Williamsburg Lodge was a wonderful venue and we enjoyed having our wedding there. Weddings are not their number one thing, so I think some things get over looked because they are more used to working with customers dealing with conferences. I wanted the Lodge from the start, and so I was very persistent in getting a hold of someone. However, it was, like for many brides, difficult to reach someone to go over details. Site location, taste of food, wedding cake taste & design were all wonderful. We used the Woodlands Terrace (part of the conference center) and it was beautiful. The staff was great on my wedding day. The only problem I had was the communication prior to the event. It was extremely hard to get my calls/emails returned and my questions answered. The staff was exceptional and every detail was addressed and we had a perfect Reception at the Lodge in the Virginia Ballroom.

We would recommend the Williamsburg Lodge for a destination wedding as we had the Mother of the Bride coordinate our wedding with the assistance of the Mother of the Groom. On the day of the wedding we hired a wedding day planner and the wedding reception was perfect...
