The Swag sits at 5,000 feet, high atop the Cataloochee Divide, with its 250 wooded acres bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and with guest rooms and cabins assembled from authentic log structures and transported here. All rooms have exposed beams and wood floors and are furnished with early-American crafts. Dinners here are social events, with hors d'oeuvres, conversation, and...

We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. It is a beautiful place with amazing views from our room. The outdoor tub was awesome and the wood fireplace in our room was very nice. The hiking trails start right outside the door where you can hike in the Smokey Mnt National Park or on the SWAG property. We did several...

Wow, the Swag always exceeds expectations. Beautiful wildflower walk on the nature trail. Very well marked trail and well maintained. Our covered porch and outside fireplace were one of our favorites to sip our wine. It is great that you can bring your own wine. No corkage. It is a dry county, so you do need to bring your own....

The Swag has been a destination for us for many years. Situated 5,000 feet up in the mountains of western North Carolina on the boarder of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the views are stunning, the rooms are VERY comfortable, the food is excellent - bring your own wine or beer for hors-doevres on the porch every night or...

There are certain experiences in life that cannot be duplicated. Sitting before a breath-taking view on a porch above a garden in full bloom. Walking along moss-lined trails -- underneath 20 blooming rhododendron that span overhead like a cathedral ceiling. Wrapping yourself in a hand-woven coverlet, listening to spring showers as you warm your toes and read by firelight. The Swag is a place...
