Surprised by the quality. Real linens, no paper. Everything cooked from fresh. The chef is a talented baker who served us 4 different breads including a warm rum bread that was intoxicating just as we were seated. The host was attentive, our server was polite and gracious, and all the food was lovingly prepared by a chef.
The absolute best service in Hampton Roads. Our waiter was attentive without being obtrusive. The seafood was outstanding. This is the only restaurant in the area that can compete with the finer establishments in NYC.
Excellent atmosphere, outstanding service. My wife had Mexican Stuffed Shrimp and I had Sea and Shore (Steak and stuffed shrimp). Not crazy about the steak. It was cooked to my liking however cooking technique not desired, it was charred on outside. Go for seafood. Great dining experience. I would recommend to anyone.
OUTSTANDING! Joy and I had a wonderful dining experience. Keep up the good work.
Here in one of the area's few places for "fine dining," the waiters are tuxedo-clad, the tablecloths crisp linen. The menu's offerings resemble those available on a luxury cruise ship. Rum buns begin the meal, where the highlights include enormous crab cakes and filet mignon topped with crabmeat and rich béarnaise sauce. Order one of the showy flambé desserts, which are prepared table-side.
The Seafare is one of our favorites and we return to it every year. We have had many of their steak and seafood options and everything has been outstanding. The service is always top notch. It is nice to see a local restaurant continue to...
We visited with restaurant without a reservstion but they were very accomdating. This is a fine dining establishment. We spent almost two hours dining and did not feel rushed. They initally bring a sweet bread to begin your dining experience. The She-Crab soup was very...
Rupert was a great waiter. The kids enjoyed having the cake appetizer! They also liked the orange sorbet. Everyone enjoyed their seafood.
My wife and I stopped in for dinner after reading all the great reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed. Every phase of dinner was great. We come to Williamsburg once a year. We will definitely be back.
The two of us enjoyed our dinner which was elegantly served by James. The seafood was excellent and the atmosphere was very gracious. Servings were good size, so we took our desert home with us for a midnight snack! Dessert was wonderful.

The Seafare of Williamsburg serves fresh seafood and luscious steaks to its patrons. Dimly lit and elegantly decorated, this steakhouse offers a very retro and relaxed setting for a great evening. The Seafare of Williamsburg is also equipped with a full bar stocked with wines and beer.
The Seafare is a wonderful throwback to an era when dining out meant a wait staff in tuxedos, dining on classic entrees and attention to details. The interior takes its cues from the water and specialties come from the sea. The menu also offers several veal dishes. The meal starts with warm rum bread. Try the crab cakes.
