Newgrange is a nonprofit institution that has provided educational services for dyslexics since 1977. Their newest service is The Newgrange Independent School at Princeton, 407 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ. This school targets the population of early learners (grades 1 - 5) who show clear signs of dyslexia. This new school provides a safe and supportive environment, employing essential research-based multi-sensory teaching methodologies such as: Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, and others. A range of creative and assistive technologies are integrated into the curriculum, such as: iMovie, GarageBand, Kurzweil, Inspiration@ Software, Dragon Dictation and others. This school complements Newgrange's other services, which include: The Newgrange School at 526 S. Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ, a state-approved school for students with disabilities, ages 7-21. The Newgrange Education Center, 407 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ, which provides professional development programs, educational evaluations, tutoring and consulting. Newgrange's Executive Director, Dr. Gordon Sherman, is internationally recognized for his contributions to the field of brain research, teaching methodologies, and service to the dyslexia community.
