The visitor's center has well written exhibits narrating the history of the island. The National Parks guide has been giving his story for thirty years. He's a true professional. The question and answer session was lively and informative. There are walking trails throughout the park and a well equipped professional theater. Definitely worth an afternoon.

Excellent and interestining for the whole family

This is a really nice afternoon trip to balance out your time at the beach with the kids. It is educational and outdoors and really does give you a sense of what it may have been to live in this area during the time of the Lost Colony settlers. The story is well done and the exhibits well done.
