The Local does indeed serve locals as well as the passing hotel guest from down the street. I had a wonderful, rich and moist carrot bran muffin that filled me up for several hours, along with a wonderful hot chocolate. Quaint setting. Good food

We enjoyed a half sandwich and baked potato soup. Delicious flavored iced . Deli style service. Both were very good. Courteous, but not super friendly staff. Would visit again when in town.

We had lunch at The Local during recent visits to Irvington, VA and found the food terrific, the people warm and friendly (a true neighborhood spot for 'locals' and tourists alike). A casual place to spend a few hours over morning paper and coffee or for lunch.
