What a beautiful, clean, elegant, fun, solid Austin 'citizen'. Great bar and entertainment - a lot going on with downstairs tea to live entertainment in the handsomely carved and stained glass bar. We had a great anniversary weekend. The staff was absolutely wonderful (especially Courtney), the room just right, and The Grill was a great restaurant for a celebratory supper.
Awesome however shower was too small
The Driskill is in a great location for exploring Austin. The staff is great; rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Tea/coffee in the morning and hot cider in the evening in the lobby is a nice touch. Elevator is very, very slow. Hotel can get very noisy ... it is a popular spot for weddings and parties. Although bedroom was quiet, I could hear conversations through the ducts in the bathroom....
