There's not much in Wytheville, a small town in the southwestern corner of Virginia, but the Bolling Wilson Hotel is a standout. It's located on Main Street, across form Edith Bolling's birthplace and a cafe that boasts, "Home of the Skeeter Dog." We needed a place to break up our trip but this was so much more. Beautifully renovated small hotel. Room was very nice and the bedding to die for. The restaurant, Graze, had a wonderful menu of southern specialties along with classic fare. I had the lovely crab cakes.
I hope we have a reason to stop in again in...

Was in Wytheville on business and stayed here for the first time. It's an old hotel, but beautifully refurbished recently. The staff was very cordial. Room was of decent size and the bed and linens first class. "Little details" like numerous well-placed electrical outlets, nice soaps and lotions, extra large and fluffy towels, etc. abound. I was a little nervous after calling to make the reservations, because the person on the phone seemed to not have very good communications skills. I called around three the day we were going to be going as this was a spur of the moment trip. However, when we got there it was nothing but class.
