After looking at the website and using terms like waterfront and Wharf I made the assumption I would be on the water and completed my reservation on that basis. Upon arrival I was told my room was in the Wharf building not the main building. Nothing says that on my reservation. I proceeded to move my car on the other side of a drainage ditch. The hotel was a bit disjointed,and had normal keys for the doors not a modern key card. The staff was very accommodating and even gave my wife a stamp without charge. The room was a bit pricey but the location was great.

This was a one night stay for us as we were traveling back home to New Jersey. The location was perfect and our room was wonderful. We were surprised at the rather cool greeting we received upon check-in but we were comparing it to our stay in Portsmouth which was extremely friendly. The Boathouse Waterfront Hotel & Marina features a marina and a rooftop terrace. You can relax with a drink at one of the 2 bars/lounges, and the restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat. Rooms offer up nice touches like iPod docks, Frette Italian sheets, and premium bedding.
