The rooms were nice enough, but mine was very dark and next to a conference room. I was not happy when after having my bag stowed after check-out, I returned to find it in an open area and not secure at all.
This hotel is a quaint alternative to a chain hotel, in a beautiful downtown area, but I found myself coveting my collegue's room at the Marriott Courtyard just based in the open lobby.

We were thinking about staying at one of the other much higher priced hotels in Richmond, but after reading reviews and seeing the price, decided to give The Berkeley a shot, and boy were we pleased. The staff were so friendly, the room was great, and the location was perfect. Not one complaint!
