As the name indicates, soup is the focus of this tiny, bright restaurant. The selections here are delicious and warming, perhaps the best in the state. The ever-changing menu incorporates a truly global influence and a lot of quirkiness, with flavors like South American chipotle pork stew and Tuscan ribollita. There are few tables, so it's best to aim for off-peak hours.

This is a soup restaurant. I was taken there while on a business trip. The soup I had was expensive, but one of the best bowls of soup I've ever had. This is one of those places where you say to yourself "at least it was good". Very robust flavors in the soups, and very tasty sandwiches. I had the black bean and Italian sausage soup and turkey sandwich. I did have leftover soup, but this lunch with tip cost me $20. Atmosphere is cozy as there are few tables and...

This is the best restaurant in Montpelier if you love soup. A little on the expensive side and the hours of operation are erratic but this is a must if in the area.
