In addition to the craft beers, the Taphouse also serves up tasty pub grub, with plenty of vegetarian options. There is also live music on a regular basis.

I have been here couple times and stopped by tonight just in case they had something new on tap. I am an IPA fan and tried the Racer and a "Clipper City Loose Cannon IPA" that I really liked. As for the food it is very average. We sent back a pizza "Margharite" which had hummus on it (?) on a very thick doughy crust! Taste was horrible. Sorry, but for someone who has lived in Italy and was hoping for the real thing it was terrible. Rename it. As for the beer selection it was pretty good for this part of the country with a number of beers on tap, both foreign and domestic but there are better beer pubs in the Tidewater area; e.g., the one in Portsmouth. The food is better there too!
My kids love it. I love it. Fantastic beer selection but more than that a great menu with varied selections and a friendly and efficient wait staff. This place is a winner!
