I bought this foreclosure in Linden, it was an as is sale. I knew there was a decommissioned oil tank on the property. I wanted to use it as a rental property you know for investing but I couldn't get a bank to finance me. This was my first time flipping houses so I had no idea what I was getting into. I emailed Tank Solutions and I got a phone call from Ted Slack Sr., the owner and he explained to me about the foam and everything that was in there. Turns out the tank failed. The inspector showed me holes and the rust that rotted away and I did have to pay for them to get rid of the foam. I called 2 other companies to get a quote for clean up and Tank Solutions offered me a clean up price half of what everyone else was charging!!! Other companies were telling me I had to remove tons of soil before even seeing my house and Tank Solutions sent out their geologist and told me I didn't have to remove any dirt. I saved so much money and they got my report out in a few days. Within that same month I got that letter from the DEP saying everything was ok and I finally got my C/O from the town. It was a lot smoother than I ever could imagine. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!!!!!
I had 2 properties, mines and my mother's who had just recently passed. Both homes were up for sale and I was devastated with the circumstances I was under. I called several companies and I just felt like everyone was talking over my head or just "yes honey"-ing me to death. I never knew that under ground oil tanks were such an issue and such a shady business. I used one company to remove my mothers tank and when I realized I got ripped off I called Tank Solutions and they cleaned up my mothers property and removed and cleaned up my property. I even got to pay for the tank removals at closing. Tank Solutions really worked with me and explained everything in such detail. I never felt like I was in over my head with this company. It was the best decision I made.
